Another effort of STA reinforcing the STEM Education (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) in our school. The Robotics Program is derived from the First Lego League which is a world-wide feature. This program has gone from a volunteer afterschool club, to a part of the 7th & 8th Grade Curriculum. Students work on team building, coding, programming, service to the world, and competition.
The Robotics Program at St. Thomas the Apostle School was started by stakeholders who yearned for the students to understand the way the world works. Mrs. Almeida, currently runs the Robotics Program within the school curriculum. This fully focuses on 21st Technology and Educational Practices of which we are supportive of and implement daily within STEM and STREAM Education.
